Minjee Lee was born on 27 May 1996 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, and turned professional in 2014, developing into one of the most accomplished Australian players in LPGA Tour history. Lee won her first major championship at the 2021 Evian Championship, and added the U.S. Women's Open the following year, before capturing a third major title at the 2025 Women's PGA Championship, establishing herself as one of the most complete ball-strikers on tour. Lee has won the Greg Norman Medal, awarded to Australia's top golfer, on three occasions, in 2018, 2021, and 2023, and received the Rolex Annika Major Award for the tour's best performance in major championships in both 2022 and 2025. Lee has continued to compete at the top level of women's golf, having won 11 times on the LPGA Tour, and remains one of the leading Australian players of her generation, following a rich lineage of Australian women's golf that includes Karrie Webb.
