Filip Forsberg

Filip Forsberg is a Swedish left wing who has spent his entire NHL career with the Nashville Predators, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer.

Carl Filip Anton Forsberg was born on 13 August 1994 in Östervåla, Sweden, and the Washington Capitals selected him in the first round, 11th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft, though he was traded to the Nashville Predators before ever playing a game for Washington's organisation. Forsberg represented Sweden at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and the 2012 World U18 Championships, winning silver medals at both before joining the Predators, where he quickly became a fixture in Nashville's top-six forward group. Forsberg developed into the Predators' franchise leader in goals and points, becoming an alternate captain and representing Sweden extensively at senior international tournaments, winning both gold and silver medals with the national team. Forsberg has continued to be one of Nashville's most important offensive players, remaining with the franchise for his entire NHL career to date and standing as one of the most accomplished Swedish forwards never to have been drafted by the team he ultimately played for.

Forsberg is an explosive skater with exceptional speed and acceleration that allows him to create separation from defenders. He possesses excellent puck-handling skills and a quick, accurate shot that makes him dangerous from multiple areas of the ice. His ability to score in clutch situations and perform in high-pressure moments has made him a go-to player for Nashville.

Forsberg helped establish Nashville as a competitive NHL franchise and played a key role in the team's rise to prominence in the league.
