Andrei Vasilevskiy is a Russian goaltender for the Tampa Bay Lightning who won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2021.

Andrei Andreyevich Vasilevskiy was born on 25 July 1994 in Tyumen, Russia, the son of Andrei Leonidovich Vasilevskiy, a goaltender who played at the highest level of Soviet and Russian hockey for nearly two decades, giving Andrei an early grounding in the position he would come to master. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Vasilevskiy in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft, and he developed into one of the finest goaltenders of his generation, winning the Vezina Trophy as the league's top netminder. Vasilevskiy won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021, delivering some of the most dominant playoff goaltending performances of the era and helping establish Tampa Bay as one of the league's premier championship-calibre franchises. Vasilevskiy has continued to anchor the Lightning's crease, representing Russia internationally when eligible, and remains one of the most accomplished goaltenders in the sport, following directly in his father's footsteps into a career between the pipes.
