Nicole Alicia Aiken-Pinnock, née Aiken, was born on 11 December 1985, and is the older sister of fellow Jamaica international Romelda Aiken-George. She attended Clarendon College before studying at G.C. Foster College and later earning a four-year basketball scholarship to Lamar University in Texas, playing centre for the Cardinals before giving up the scholarship in 2008 to return to Jamaica and G.C. Foster College. Aiken-Pinnock began representing Jamaica at international level as early as 2004, making her senior debut for the Sunshine Girls at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and went on to play club netball for the Clarendon Gators before signing with England's Sirens in 2017. Standing 1.88 metres tall, Aiken-Pinnock developed into one of the most dependable defenders in Jamaican netball history, playing predominantly at goal keeper and goal defence, and captained the Sunshine Girls to a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Aiken-Pinnock has continued to represent Jamaica at senior international level for close to two decades, and works as a lecturer alongside her ongoing playing career, remaining one of the most experienced and respected defenders in the country's netball history.
