Matt Duchene

Matt Duchene is a Canadian centre and prolific offensive producer who has played for Colorado, Ottawa, Columbus, Nashville and Dallas across a lengthy NHL career.

Matt Duchene was born in Haliburton, Ontario in 1990. Colorado Avalanche selected him third overall in the 2009 NHL Draft. His career has produced 317 goals and 416 assists for 733 career points. He was selected to two All-Star games. He won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers in 2024, providing one of hockey's more satisfying individual championship stories — a player who had spent 15 seasons chasing the Cup across five different franchises finally winning it at 33. He scored 40 goals for Nashville in 2018-19. He is one of the more skilled offensive centres of his generation — his ability to create space and finish around the net has made him a consistent producer on every team he has played for.
