Logan Couture was born in Guelph, Ontario in 2009. San Jose Sharks selected him ninth overall in the 2007 NHL Draft. His 13-season career — entirely with the Sharks — produced 307 goals and 351 assists for 658 career points. He was selected to two All-Star games. He won Olympic gold with Canada in 2014. He scored 31 goals in his rookie season, 26 the next, and scored 27 or more goals in multiple seasons across his career. He became the Sharks' captain in 2016.
