Jonquel Jones was born in Nassau, Bahamas on 6 October 1994. One of the most versatile and physically dominant players in WNBA history, Jones won the WNBA MVP award in 2021, leading the Connecticut Sun to the best record in the league. A 6ft 1in forward-center with a complete offensive game, exceptional rebounding and the ability to stretch the floor with her shooting, Jones later moved to New York Liberty where she won the WNBA Championship in 2024 alongside Sabrina Ionescu. She had previously won the title in 2022 with the Las Vegas Aces as part of their deep roster. She has been a multiple All-Star and All-WNBA selection, and represents the Bahamas internationally. Her combination of size, skill, shooting and rebounding make her one of the most complete big women the WNBA has ever seen.
