Versatile and explosive Denver big man whose athleticism and toughness were crucial to the Nuggets' first NBA Championship in 2023.
Aaron Gordon was born in San Jose, California on 16 September 1995. Originally drafted fourth overall by the Orlando Magic in 2014, Gordon spent six years in Orlando developing into one of the NBA's most athletic and versatile forwards. Despite being a two-time Slam Dunk Contest runner-up (in controversial circumstances both times, many fans believing he was robbed), Gordon is far more than a highlight reel player. His defence, cutting ability and improved offensive consistency make him a valuable two-way contributor. Denver acquired him in a 2021 trade and he immediately elevated their roster, contributing hard-nosed defensive work and crucial finishes alongside Jokić and Murray. He was an integral part of Denver's 2023 NBA Championship run.
