Spanish motorcycle racer who became the first woman to win a solo motorcycle world championship, claiming the 2018 FIM Supersport 300 World Championship title.

Ana Carrasco Gabarrón was born on 10 March 1997 in Murcia, Spain, and began riding a minibike at just three years old, winning the 125cc Extremeño Speed Championship and becoming the first woman to claim the 125cc Murcia-Pre-GP Championship title in 2009. Carrasco became the first woman to score points in the FIM CEV Repsol Championship in 2011, and moved to the Moto3 World Championship in 2013, becoming the first female rider to score points in the category with a 15th-place finish at the Malaysian Grand Prix at just 16 years old. Carrasco made history on 27 September 2017 at Portimão, becoming the first woman in over a century of motorcycle road racing to win a world championship race, competing against an entire field of men in the Supersport 300 category. She dedicated the victory to Spanish rider Luis Salom, who had died during Moto2 practice the previous year and was the cousin of her team boss. Carrasco completed her historic breakthrough in 2018, becoming the first woman ever to win a full motorcycle road racing world championship, clinching the Supersport 300 title by a single point over compatriot Mika Pérez. She has continued competing in the Supersport World Championship, adding a second title in the FIM Women's Circuit Racing series in 2024 after recovering from a serious back injury sustained in a 2020 testing crash.
