Daniel Pedrosa Ramal was born on 29 September 1985 in Sabadell, Spain, and developed into one of the most technically gifted riders in Grand Prix motorcycle racing history, winning three world championships across three different classes: the 125cc title in 2003, and back-to-back 250cc titles in 2004 and 2005, becoming the youngest-ever champion in the intermediate class. Pedrosa graduated to the premier MotoGP class in 2006, and delivered a memorable maiden podium at Donington Park, sharing the rostrum with Valentino Rossi for the first time. Despite a serious knee injury sustained at the Malaysian Grand Prix that year, he remained a title contender throughout much of his premier-class career. Pedrosa spent his entire MotoGP career with Honda, becoming one of the most consistent frontrunners of his generation despite never winning the premier-class title, finishing runner-up on three occasions and amassing 31 Grand Prix victories across all classes. Pedrosa retired from full-time competition in 2018 and has since served as a test rider for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, continuing to contribute his technical expertise to the sport that made him one of Spain's most decorated motorcycle racers.
