Troy Bayliss is the only man to win three Superbike World Championship titles with a single manufacturer, all three of his crowns — 2001, 2006, and 2008 — earned with Ducati, finishing his career with 52 race wins. He was an accomplished motocross rider by ten, though his enthusiasm for racing waned in his teens as he trained as a spraypainter. Bayliss returned to motorcycle racing and developed into one of the most successful riders in Superbike World Championship history, winning three titles — in 2001, 2006, and 2008 — all with Ducati, finishing his career with 52 race wins, the fourth-highest total in the championship at the time of his retirement.
