Paige Amber Hadley was born on 26 August 1992 in Sydney, growing up in Penrith and achieving an ATAR of 97.8 before earning a netball scholarship at Western Sydney University. She joined the NSW Swifts as a replacement player in the 2012 ANZ Championship season and made her senior Australian debut in October 2013, entering at halftime against Malawi and being named player of the match in only her second international appearance. Hadley ruptured her ACL in March 2014 but recovered to be part of Australia's 2015 World Cup-winning squad in Sydney. She went on to earn over 78 caps for the Diamonds, winning a second World Cup title in 2023 and Commonwealth Games gold in 2022, having missed the 2018 Games through injury. She was named Australian vice-captain in 2023, deputising for long-serving skipper Liz Watson. Domestically, Hadley has become one of the greatest players in NSW Swifts history, playing over 150 games for the club and co-captaining the side since 2020 alongside Maddy Proud, winning premierships in 2019 and 2021 across five Grand Final appearances. She launched her own coaching program, Pivot with Paige Hadley, in 2024, and stepped away from the 2026 season after announcing her pregnancy.
