Mikko Rantanen is a Finnish right wing who became one of the NHL's top scorers with the Colorado Avalanche, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2022.
Mikko Rantanen was born on 29 October 1996 in Nousiainen, Finland, and the Colorado Avalanche selected him tenth overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, making his NHL debut that same year after honing his game with TPS in Finland's top domestic league. Rantanen developed into one of the most dominant power forwards in the league, using his rare combination of size and skill to become a key member of the Avalanche's core alongside Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar throughout the franchise's most successful period.
