Swedish golfer who turned pro in 2023 and quickly became a Ryder Cup winner and PGA Tour champion.

Ludvig Noa Åberg was born on 31 October 1999 in Eslöv, Sweden, a small town of around 20,000 people once voted the most boring city in Sweden, to parents Mia and Johan, with an elder sister named Linnea. His father was a keen amateur golfer who introduced Ludvig to the sport at Eslövs Golfklubb at age eight. Åberg moved to the United States to play college golf at Texas Tech University, winning the Ben Hogan, Haskins, and Jack Nicklaus Awards in 2023 as the nation's top amateur player before turning professional that same year as the world's top-ranked amateur. Åberg achieved remarkable early success, winning on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour within five months of turning professional, and became a member of the victorious European Ryder Cup team in 2023 despite having played in his first PGA Tour event only weeks earlier. Åberg finished runner-up in his major championship debut at the 2024 Masters, and won the 2025 Genesis Invitational before helping Europe retain the Ryder Cup later that year. Renowned for his calm, minimalist demeanour both on and off the course, Åberg has quickly established himself as one of the most talented young players in the game.
