The Iceman — one world title, the most authentic and the least corporate driver in modern F1.
Kimi Matias Räikkönen was born in Espoo, Finland in 1979. He won the 2007 Formula 1 World Championship with Ferrari — from the back of the field after Hamilton and Alonso eliminated each other at the Brazilian Grand Prix. His 103 podiums are the second-most in F1 history. His Iceman nickname reflects his complete emotional calm under pressure and his total indifference to press conferences, team communications and the commercial aspects of F1. His quote "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" when Ferrari tried to advise him during a race became F1's most celebrated individual radio message. He remained a fan favourite throughout despite — or because of — his refusal to perform for the camera.
