Scottish footballer and Arsenal captain, widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in women's football history with over 150 international caps.
Kim Alison Little was born on 29 June 1990 in Aberdeen, Scotland, and began playing football informally with her father and brother before joining a local boys' youth team, as access to organised girls' football was extremely limited at the time. She later joined Buchan Girls before making the demanding three-and-a-half-hour round trip from Aberdeenshire to Edinburgh to train and play for Hibernian Girls from age 13. Little made her senior debut for Hibernian at just 16, scoring a hat-trick against Hutchison Vale, and helped the club to an undefeated Scottish Women's Premier League title in the 2006-07 season, during which she personally scored 55 goals in 30 matches. Arsenal signed her in 2008, beginning a long association with the club interrupted only by spells at Seattle Reign in the United States and Melbourne City in Australia. Little became the first-ever recipient of the PFA Women's Players' Player of the Year award in 2013, and has developed into one of the most technically gifted and universally respected midfielders in the history of the women's game — teammate Ellen White has called her the "GOAT," and World Cup winner Tobin Heath has said she never played alongside a better footballer. She led Arsenal to the 2024-25 UEFA Women's Champions League title, finally lifting the trophy after joining the club back in 2008 when Arsenal were the reigning European champions. Little earned 140 caps for Scotland, scoring 59 goals before retiring from international duty in 2021, and represented Great Britain at both the 2012 London and delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She remains Arsenal's captain and sits third on the club's all-time scoring list with over 175 goals.
