Jordan Alexander Spieth was born on 27 July 1993 in Dallas, Texas, and developed into one of the finest amateur golfers of his generation, winning back-to-back U.S. Junior Amateur titles and reaching world No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in 2012 while playing at the University of Texas.
