Jalen Rashon Suggs was born on 3 June 2001 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Larry Suggs and Molly Manley, and attended Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, where he became the first athlete in Minnesota history to win a state championship in football, basketball, and track in the same academic year, being named Minnesota Mr. Basketball and MaxPreps National Athlete of the Year as a senior.
