Cooper Kupp led the NFL in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns in the same 2021 season, the rare receiving "Triple Crown" done by no one since Jerry Rice in 1990. He capped that season by winning Super Bowl LVI MVP. Born in Yakima, Washington, in 1993, he came from football stock: his grandfather Jake Kupp played professionally, and his father Craig quarterbacked at Pacific Lutheran University. Kupp starred at Eastern Washington University, where he set numerous NCAA FCS records and won the Walter Payton Award as the top player in the division in 2015. The Los Angeles Rams selected him in the third round (69th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, a pick that proved exceptional value. He established himself immediately as a reliable target for quarterback Jared Goff, posting over 1,100 receiving yards in both 2018 and 2019 before suffering a torn ACL that ended his 2018 season prematurely. When Sean McVay's offense evolved with Matthew Stafford's arrival in 2021, Kupp flourished in ways few anticipated.
