The only head coach to win four Super Bowls — Chuck Noll built the Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty through the NFL Draft and player development, creating the greatest team of the 1970s.
Chuck Noll was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1932. He played as a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns from 1953 to 1959. He became Pittsburgh's head coach in 1969 and won four Super Bowl championships (IX, X, XIII, XIV) — the only head coach in NFL history to achieve four. He drafted Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, Mel Blount, Franco Harris and John Stallworth across his early drafts. He retired in 1991 with a record of 193-148-1 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
Super Bowl IX X XIII XIV Champion (head coach)
He remains the only head coach ever to win four Super Bowls — a record that Belichick and others have approached but never matched.
