The greatest interior defensive lineman in NFL history — three-time Defensive Player of the Year whose quickness, strength and technical mastery at defensive tackle were unprecedented.
Aaron Charles Donald was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1991. The Los Angeles Rams selected him 13th overall in the 2014 Draft. He is the only interior defensive lineman in NFL history to win the Defensive Player of the Year award three times. His combination of quickness — his first step from a three-point stance is measured as the fastest of any defensive lineman in combine history — with exceptional hand technique and motor made him essentially unblockable. He recorded 98 sacks from the defensive tackle position — extraordinary given tackles face double teams routinely. He won Super Bowl LVI. He retired after the 2022 season to spend time with his family.
