Alex Čejka is a Czech-born German professional golfer who fled communist Czechoslovakia as a child refugee and went on to win titles on the European Tour, PGA Tour, and PGA Tour Champions, including three senior majors.

Alexander Čejka's debut season on PGA Tour Champions in 2021 produced three senior major titles — the Regions Tradition and the Senior PGA Championship within weeks of each other, then the Senior Open Championship two years later — an achievement made more remarkable by the fact that he had arrived in Germany at age nine as a refugee from Communist Czechoslovakia with no golf background whatsoever. Inspired after seeing Bernhard Langer play, he took up golf and turned professional in 1989 at age 18. Čejka's breakthrough season came in 1995, when he won three titles including the prestigious Volvo Masters at Valderrama, finishing sixth on the European Tour's Order of Merit. He added a fourth European Tour title at the 2002 Trophée Lancôme, before shifting his focus to the U.S.-based PGA Tour from 2003. After years of near-misses, including a share of eighth at the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, he finally broke through with his first PGA Tour win at the 2015 Puerto Rico Open, defeating a five-man playoff field to become the first Czech-born player to win on the PGA Tour. Čejka joined PGA Tour Champions in 2021 and enjoyed a remarkable rookie season, winning three senior major titles: the Regions Tradition, beating Steve Stricker in a playoff, and the Senior PGA Championship weeks later, before adding the Senior Open Championship in 2023. He represented Germany at the 2016 Rio Olympics and in twelve editions of the World Cup of Golf, keeping ties to his birth country with a home in Prague.
