Tina Charles was born in Queens, New York in 1988. Connecticut Sun selected her first overall in the 2010 WNBA Draft from UConn. She won the WNBA MVP in 2012 and three consecutive WNBA scoring titles. She won two Olympic gold medals (2016, 2020) and was a seven-time All-Star. She became the WNBA's all-time leading scorer in 2021, surpassing Tina Thompson's record.
