Terry William Rozier III was born on 17 March 1994 in Youngstown, Ohio, and endured a turbulent early childhood: his father, Terry Rozier Sr., was incarcerated when Terry was just two months old and later sentenced to 13 years in prison. Rozier was primarily raised by his mother, Gina Tucker, and grandmother, Amanda Tucker, and at around age six, safety concerns tied to his father's past led his mother to send him to live with his grandmother in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a difficult transition he initially resisted.
