Romain Ntamack

Romain Ntamack is a France fly-half, son of former international Emile Ntamack, who has been a key attacking playmaker for Les Bleus.

Romain Ntamack was born on 1 May 1999 in Toulouse, France, the son of Émile Ntamack, a French international who played his entire career for Stade Toulousain and won two Heineken Cups, and nephew of fellow professional Francis Ntamack. Growing up around his father's club from the age of five, Romain joined Toulouse's youth ranks and later played alongside his younger brother Théo, also a professional at the club. Ntamack made his professional debut for Toulouse in September 2017 and quickly established himself as one of the most gifted playmakers of his generation, equally capable at fly-half or centre. He helped guide France's under-20 side to the 2018 World Championship title and was named World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year after starring at the 2019 World Cup, where France reached the quarter-finals. Ntamack made his senior France debut in the 2019 Six Nations against Wales, and helped Toulouse win the Top 14 title in 2019, followed by a domestic and European double in 2021, becoming the youngest player at the time to lift the Heineken Cup as a starting fly-half. In 2022, he and scrum-half partner Antoine Dupont led France to a Six Nations Grand Slam — the country's first in 12 years. Ntamack has continued to be one of the most important playmakers in French rugby's rise to the top of the world game, renowned for his composure, tactical kicking, and ability to control matches at the highest level.

Ntamack is known for his exceptional game management, precise kicking ability, and strong running game. He combines excellent vision and passing skills with the physical attributes to break defensive lines and create opportunities for teammates.
