Rolando Cantú is a Mexican former NFL offensive lineman who became the first player developed entirely within the Mexican college football system to play in the NFL, appearing for the Arizona Cardinals.

On 1 January 2006, Rolando Cantú became the first player developed entirely within the Mexican college football system to appear in an NFL regular-season game — a milestone he reached after being involved in a car accident on the way to the very tryout that set his professional career in motion.. Considered the best offensive lineman in Mexico, he turned down interest from several major American colleges to instead play for his hometown institution, Monterrey Tech (ITESM), starting four seasons on the offensive line and winning two national championships. Cantú's path to professional football began dramatically: on his way to an NFL Europe tryout in December 2003, he was involved in a car accident, but continued to the tryout regardless, running a 40-yard dash in five seconds at 300 pounds and impressing scouts enough to earn an invitation to a central NFL Europe camp in Tampa. He went on to make the Berlin Thunder's roster in 2004, becoming the first player developed entirely within the Mexican college system to compete professionally at that level. Cantú signed with the Arizona Cardinals' International Practice Squad Program, and made his sole NFL appearance on January 1, 2006, against the Indianapolis Colts, becoming the first Mexican-trained player to play in an NFL regular-season game. He remained with the Cardinals organization after his brief playing career, becoming the team's manager of international business and a prominent broadcaster and promoter of American football in Mexico, mentoring young Mexican players pursuing the sport.
