Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is an Indian all-rounder celebrated for his left-arm spin, hard-hitting batting and exceptional fielding, a key member of India's 2011 World Cup-winning squad.

Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja was born on 6 December 1988 in Navagam Ghed, Gujarat, India, and developed into one of the finest all-rounders and fielders of his generation, making his international debut for India in 2009 in both the ODI and T20I formats. Jadeja, nicknamed "Jaddu," combines left-arm orthodox spin bowling with increasingly effective left-handed batting, becoming a central figure in India's success across formats and forming a long, successful partnership with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League for much of his career. Jadeja represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket, and has continued to be one of India's most reliable and versatile players, renowned for his athletic fielding, which is widely regarded among the very best in the sport's modern history. Jadeja has continued to represent India in ODI and Test cricket, moving to the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL for the 2026 season, and remains one of the most complete and consistently valuable all-round cricketers of his generation, married to Rivaba Jadeja, herself a politician in Gujarat.

Jadeja is a left-arm orthodox spinner who bowls with accuracy and subtle variations, making him particularly effective on turning pitches. As a batsman, he plays aggressively in the lower middle order, capable of quick scoring and building partnerships under pressure. His fielding is exceptional, with a strong throwing arm and athletic ability that makes him one of the best fielders in world cricket.
