Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan is an Afghan leg-spin bowler and captain who rapidly became one of the most feared limited-overs bowlers in the world.

Rashid Khan Arman was born on 20 September 1998 in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, and developed into one of the finest leg-spin bowlers of his generation, making his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2015 as Afghanistan's cricketing infrastructure rapidly developed. Rashid became one of eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first-ever Test match, against India in 2018, and later became the youngest cricketer in history to captain a Test team, leading the side against Bangladesh at just 20 years and 350 days old. Rashid rapidly established himself as one of the most sought-after Twenty20 bowlers in the world, playing extensively across global franchise leagues, including the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lahore Qalandars, renowned for his deceptive googly and consistently economical bowling. Rashid has continued to represent Afghanistan across all formats, playing a central role in raising the country's international cricketing profile, and remains one of the most globally recognised and highly valued white-ball bowlers in the sport.
