Peyton Manning is a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback who set numerous passing records across an 18-season career with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, winning two Super Bowls.

No quarterback has won the NFL Most Valuable Player award more times than Peyton Manning, whose five MVP trophies — and two Super Bowl championships with two different franchises — define a career that remade the quarterback position as an exercise in preparation, film study, and pre-snap intelligence.and starred at the Isidore Newman School before playing college football at Tennessee, where he became the program's career passing leader. The Indianapolis Colts selected Manning first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft, and he developed into one of the most cerebral and statistically dominant quarterbacks in NFL history, winning a record five NFL MVP awards and leading the Colts to victory in Super Bowl XLI. Manning underwent multiple neck surgeries that forced him to miss the entire 2011 season, before signing with the Denver Broncos in 2012 and delivering a record-breaking 2013 season with 55 touchdown passes, capping his career with a second Super Bowl championship in 2016, becoming the first starting quarterback to win the title with two different franchises. Manning retired in 2016 holding numerous NFL passing records, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021, remaining, alongside his father and brother, part of one of the most decorated families in American football history.
