The greatest quarterback of his generation — three-time Super Bowl champion and MVP who redefined what is possible from the position with his arm talent, improvisation and clutch performances.
Patrick Lavon Mahomes II was born in Tyler, Texas in 1995, the son of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes. Kansas City Chiefs selected him 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and sat him for one year behind Alex Smith. He has since won four Super Bowl championships (LIV, LVII, LVIII, and a fourth title) and two NFL MVP awards in only six full starting seasons — a pace of championship success unmatched in NFL history. He won the NFL MVP in 2018 with 50 touchdown passes — the third-highest single-season total in NFL history. He was named Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowls LIV, LVII and LVIII. He was selected to seven Pro Bowls. His skill set is unlike any previous quarterback — the sidearm throw, the no-look pass, the ability to throw accurately while falling backwards, the deep ball in any direction — all executed at a pace and under pressure that makes them appear routine. He won his first Super Bowl aged 24 — at the time the second-youngest quarterback to win the championship. His partnership with head coach Andy Reid has produced the most dominant modern NFL dynasty. He set the Kansas City Chiefs franchise records in every major passing category within his first three full seasons.
