Mirra Aleksandrovna Andreeva was born on 29 April 2007 in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia, and turned professional in 2022, rapidly developing into one of the most precocious talents in women's tennis. She trains under former Grand Slam champion Conchita Martínez and is based in Cannes, France. Andreeva reached the semi-finals of the 2024 French Open at just 17, becoming one of the youngest players in the tournament's Open Era history to reach that stage, and continued to build on that breakthrough by reaching the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in 2025. She won two WTA 1000 titles across her rapid rise up the rankings. Andreeva reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 5 on 14 July 2025, and delivered the signature achievement of her young career at the 2026 French Open, winning the singles title to become the seventh Russian player, male or female, to capture a Grand Slam championship. Andreeva has continued to establish herself as one of the leading young players of her generation, having also reached the semi-finals of the 2025 Australian Open doubles event, and remains one of the most closely watched rising talents in the women's game.
