Prolific but controversial Argentine striker who was one of Serie A's deadliest goalscorers before an acrimonious departure from Inter Milan.
Mauro Emanuel Icardi Rivero was born in Rosario, Argentina on 19 February 1993. He joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria in 2013 and became captain, scoring 124 goals in 219 appearances — an outstanding record. He won the Serie A title in spirit, as his goals were instrumental to Inter's rise. However, a bitter contract dispute and fall-out with fans and teammates led to his exile and eventual move to PSG in 2019. At PSG he won three Ligue 1 titles. He later moved to Galatasaray, winning the Turkish league. He has earned 8 caps for Argentina.
