Finnish rally driver who became one of the most successful drivers in World Rally Championship history with two world titles and 30 WRC victories.

Marcus Grönholm was born on 5 February 1968 in Kauniainen, Finland, and developed into one of the most naturally gifted and aggressive drivers in World Rally Championship history, nicknamed "Magic Marcus" for his spectacular, sideways driving style. Grönholm won his first World Rally Championship title in 2000, and added a second in 2002, both driving the Peugeot 206 WRC, before finishing runner-up to Petter Solberg that same year in one of the closest championship battles of the era. Grönholm went on to compete for Ford, winning 30 rallies across his career — the third-highest total in WRC history at the time of his retirement — and remained one of the most consistently competitive drivers on the calendar throughout the 2000s, renowned for his fearless commitment on gravel stages. Grönholm retired from full-time WRC competition in 2007, having established himself as one of Finland's greatest rally exports in a country with a storied rallying tradition, and later competed in rallycross and off-road racing, including entries in the Dakar Rally.
