Kyle Jamieson is a New Zealand fast bowler whose height and bounce made him a standout performer in New Zealand's 2021 World Test Championship triumph.

Kyle Alex Jamieson was born on 30 December 1994 in Auckland, New Zealand, and attended Auckland Grammar School, initially pursuing basketball at the New Zealand Breakers academy as a point guard before choosing cricket, becoming, at 6 feet 8 inches, the tallest player ever to represent New Zealand internationally. Jamieson represented New Zealand at the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and made his senior Test and ODI debuts against India in February 2020, quickly establishing himself as a key member of New Zealand's pace attack, capable of extracting significant bounce from his unusual height. Jamieson played an important role in New Zealand's rise to the top of world cricket in the early 2020s, and has represented multiple franchise teams internationally, including the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Surrey, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals. Jamieson has continued to represent New Zealand across formats, renowned for his combination of height, control, and accuracy that makes him a difficult bowler for batters to score freely against, particularly on pitches offering seam movement or bounce.

Jamieson's exceptional height allows him to extract steep bounce and awkward angles that trouble batsmen, making him particularly effective with the new ball.
