Jeremy Sochan

Unique Polish-British power forward who plays point-forward style and has become one of the San Antonio Spurs' most creative and versatile young players.

Jeremy Juliusz Sochan was born on 20 May 2003 in Guymon, Oklahoma, to an American father and Polish mother, and moved to Milton Keynes, England, at age three, where his passion for basketball developed despite football's dominance in British sporting culture. At 16, he moved to Southampton to play professionally for the Solent Kestrels. Sochan transferred to La Lumiere School in Indiana for his junior year, though the COVID-19 pandemic cut his time there short, prompting a return to Europe, where he played professionally for Germany's OrangeAcademy before his performances attracted major American college programmes. Sochan played one season at Baylor University, winning Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year honours, before the San Antonio Spurs selected him ninth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. Known for his ever-changing, vividly coloured hairstyles that have drawn comparisons to Dennis Rodman, he earned NBA All-Rookie Second Team honours. Sochan became the youngest player ever to represent Poland at EuroBasket qualifying, honouring his mother's homeland internationally, and was traded to the New York Knicks in 2026, continuing his career as one of the most well-travelled and distinctively styled young forwards in the league.
