Jamie-Lee Price

Australian netballer who rose from the New Zealand ANZ Championship to win a World Cup gold medal with the Diamonds in 2023.

Jamie-Lee Price was born on 10 January 1996 in Sydney, before moving to Auckland, New Zealand at age eight when her father, former Australian rugby league player Steve Price, signed with the New Zealand Warriors. She developed as a netballer in New Zealand, captaining her school team and debuting for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic at just 16, one of the youngest players in the competition's history. Despite being eligible to represent New Zealand, Price chose to pursue selection for Australia after her family returned home in 2017. She joined Giants Netball as a foundation player for the inaugural Suncorp Super Netball season and made her Australian debut in October 2018 against New Zealand — the country she grew up in — in the Constellation Cup. She played a rotational defensive role as Australia won silver at the 2019 World Cup. Price became one of the finest defensive midcourters in world netball over nine seasons with the Giants, reaching 150 national league games in 2023 and taking on the club captaincy in 2025. She was part of the Australian squad that won World Cup gold in 2023, and won the Liz Ellis Diamond in 2025 after nearly 200 combined national league games. She moved to the Melbourne Mavericks for the 2026 season as vice-captain, continuing to pursue selection for a first Commonwealth Games.
