Jamie Laura Chadwick was born on 20 May 1998 in Bath, Somerset, England, and progressed through Ginetta Junior and British GT before winning the British GT4 championship in 2015, developing into one of the most decorated female drivers in modern motorsport. Chadwick won the inaugural W Series championship in 2019, and successfully defended her title in both 2021 and 2022, becoming the only three-time champion in the series' history, while also becoming a development driver for the Williams Formula One team from 2019. Chadwick moved to Indy NXT in North America in 2023, becoming the first woman to race full-time in the IndyCar feeder series in 13 years, and made history in June 2024 by becoming the first woman ever to claim a road course pole position and win a road course race in the championship's history, achieved at Road America. Chadwick returned to sports car racing in 2025, joining IDEC Sport in the European Le Mans Series and making her debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, continuing to break new ground for women across multiple disciplines of top-level motorsport.
