Three Olympic gold medals across two different disciplines — coxless pair and eight.
Hamish Bond was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1986. He won the Olympic coxless pair gold at London 2012 and Rio 2016 with Eric Murray — unbeaten in 69 consecutive races across his partnership. He transitioned to the eight for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and won his third gold medal. He holds the world record in the coxless pair. He was later named New Zealand's best athlete of the previous decade by several sporting bodies. He is the most decorated New Zealand rower in Olympic history.
