Dorian Finney-Smith was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia on 4 May 1993. A long, athletic and physically capable wing defender, Finney-Smith has built a career as one of the NBA's most reliable defensive wings and three-point specialists. He went undrafted in 2016 and has since become a valued rotation player on championship-contending rosters. He spent six seasons with Dallas Mavericks, where he was one of Luka Dončić's most trusted teammates and part of their 2022 Western Conference championship run. He moved to Brooklyn Nets in 2023 and then to the Los Angeles Lakers. His consistent three-point shooting, defensive tenacity and professionalism have made him a highly respected locker room presence on every team he's joined.
