The most prolific Czech scorer since Jágr — Stanley Cup champion and Art Ross Trophy winner.
David Pastrňák was born in Havírov, Czech Republic in 1996. Boston Bruins selected him 25th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft. His career has produced 335 goals and 375 assists for 710 career points. He won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2024. He won the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion in 2023 with 61 goals. He has won the Rocket Richard Trophy as leading goal scorer twice. He was selected to five All-Star games. He won Olympic silver with the Czech Republic in 2022. He scored 47 goals in both 2021-22 and 2022-23, establishing himself as one of the most consistent 40-50 goal scorers in the contemporary game. His shot — a wrist shot with a deceptive release and exceptional accuracy — is described by goaltenders as among the most difficult to read. He is the most productive Czech player since Jaromír Jágr and the most important figure in Czech hockey's current generation. His late-game scoring in critical moments has made him one of the most valued performers in Boston sports history.
