Darren Lockyer was born in Nambour, Queensland in 1977. He is the most capped Australian rugby league player with 59 Test appearances. He played both fullback and five-eighth at representative level. He won two Rugby League World Cups and nine State of Origin series with Queensland. He played in four NRL grand finals, winning one. He captained both Queensland and Australia. His composure, leadership and the ability to perform in the biggest matches made him the defining player of Queensland's State of Origin dominance from 2006 to 2013. He was inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2016.
