Ahmed Musa was born on 14 October 1992 in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and progressed through the GBS Academy before loan spells at JUTH and Kano Pillars helped launch his career. His blistering pace and directness as a winger earned a move to the Netherlands with VVV-Venlo in 2010, where his performances attracted wider European interest. Musa moved to Russia's CSKA Moscow in 2012, spending four seasons developing into one of the most feared counter-attacking wingers in the Russian Premier League, before Leicester City signed him in 2016 — arriving the season after the club's remarkable, unprecedented Premier League title triumph. Musa struggled to establish himself as a Leicester regular, leading to a loan back to CSKA Moscow, before a move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr in 2018.
