Shadab Khan was born on 4 October 1998 in Kamar Mushani, Mianwali District, Punjab, Pakistan, and moved with his family to Rawalpindi in 2008, where he joined the Bajwa Cricket Club before progressing through the Siddiq-e-Akbar Academy and Attock District's under-19 setup. Shadab made his international debut for Pakistan in 2017 across all three formats within the same month, quickly establishing himself as one of the country's most valuable all-rounders, combining right-arm leg-spin bowling with capable lower-middle-order batting. Shadab was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, and has represented the national team as vice-captain and occasional captain, becoming a centrally contracted player for the Pakistan Cricket Board. Shadab has continued to be one of Pakistan's most important white-ball all-rounders, playing extensively in franchise leagues around the world including the Pakistan Super League, Big Bash League, and Caribbean Premier League, and is married to the daughter of former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.
