The Singapore Slinger — the only player to hit a perfect nine-dart finish at the BDO World Championship, the most successful Asian darts player in history, and the holder of the record for the most World Championship appearances of any player across four decades of competition.
Paul Lim was born in Singapore in 1954. He grew up in the United States and became the most decorated Asian player in the history of professional darts, competing at the BDO World Championship for over 30 years — a record for the most World Championship appearances by any player. In 1990 he hit a perfect nine-dart finish at the BDO World Championship — the only player to have achieved this at that event. He reached the BDO World Championship final in 1993. His longevity and consistency across four decades of competitive darts made him a beloved figure throughout the international darts community.
