Kelly Jackson, formerly known as Kelly Jury, was born on 22 October 1996 in Stratford, New Zealand, and attended New Plymouth Girls' High School before studying at the University of Waikato. Standing 1.92 metres tall, she developed into one of the most commanding defenders in New Zealand netball. Jury began her senior domestic career with the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in 2014, before moving to the Central Pulse in 2019, where she spent six seasons as a key member of the club's defensive circle, playing primarily at goal keeper and goal defence. Jury made her Silver Ferns debut in 2017 and went on to represent New Zealand at both the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games, establishing herself as one of the country's most reliable international defenders across a career spanning nearly a decade at the senior level. Jury signed with the Queensland Firebirds ahead of the 2026 season, bringing her defensive experience to the Australian domestic league after a decade split between the Magic and the Pulse in New Zealand's ANZ Premiership.
