Kamilla Rytter Juhl is a Danish former badminton player who, with partner Christinna Pedersen, became the first European pair to reach an Olympic women's doubles final, winning silver at Rio 2016.
Kamilla Rytter Juhl's 2016 Rio final appearance with Christinna Pedersen made them the first European pair ever to reach an Olympic women's doubles final — the crowning moment of a career that also included a 2009 World Championship in mixed doubles alongside Thomas Laybourn and a world number one ranking in that discipline.. The partnership's greatest triumph came at the 2009 World Championships in Hyderabad, where they won the mixed doubles gold medal, beating the reigning Olympic champions along the way. Rytter Juhl later shifted her focus to women's doubles, forming a highly successful long-term partnership with Christinna Pedersen. The pair became one of the dominant forces in European women's doubles, winning multiple European Championship team and pairs titles and reaching the semifinals or better at successive World Championships, taking bronze in 2013 and 2017 and silver in 2015. Rytter Juhl and Pedersen's greatest achievement came at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where they reached the women's doubles final against Japan's top-ranked pair, becoming the first European pairing in Olympic history to reach that stage of the event, ultimately winning the silver medal in a closely fought match. Rytter Juhl retired in March 2019 alongside Pedersen, finishing her career as one of the most decorated doubles players in Danish badminton history, having reached World No. 1 in mixed doubles and No. 2 in women's doubles.
