Jack Alexander Draper was born on 22 December 2001 in Sutton, south London, England, into a tennis-immersed family: his father, Roger, served as Chief Executive of the Lawn Tennis Association from 2006 to 2013, his mother, Nicky, is a tennis coach, and his uncle, also named Roger, was a British junior champion who coached Jack and his brother Ben as children at their local Sutton Tennis & Squash Club. Draper reached the 2018 Wimbledon junior final at 16, his only junior Grand Slam final, before turning professional and developing into one of the most powerful left-handed servers on tour. His grass-court debut on Wimbledon's Centre Court came against Novak Djokovic in 2021 via a wildcard, taking the first set before eventually losing.
