Glenn Resch was a Canadian goaltender who played 14 NHL seasons and won the Stanley Cup with the New York Islanders in 1980.

Glenn Allan Resch was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1948. New York Islanders selected him in the 1972 NHL Draft and he became the backup to Billy Smith during the Islanders dynasty years. He won two Stanley Cup championships (1980, 1981). He was selected to two All-Star games. He was nicknamed Chico. His combination of athleticism and the ability to play well in relief of Smith when required was important to the dynasty's success. He was traded to Colorado in 1981 as the Islanders committed more fully to Smith as his primary goaltender. He played until he was 38, accumulating 231 career wins. He became a broadcasting personality after his playing career — serving as a colour analyst for the New Jersey Devils for decades and becoming one of hockey's most knowledgeable and beloved media figures. His expertise and warmth in the booth made him as celebrated after his playing career as during it.
