Canada's greatest MMA fighter — two-weight world champion who never lost a championship defence.
Georges St-Pierre was born in Saint-Isidore, Quebec in 1981. He won the UFC welterweight championship twice — first in 2006, lost it to Matt Serra in 2007, then won it back in 2008 and made nine consecutive defences. He retired in 2013 and returned in 2017 to defeat Michael Bisping for the middleweight title — becoming the fourth simultaneous two-weight champion in UFC history. He retired 26-2. His combination of wrestling, karate striking and jiu-jitsu was technically the most complete of his era. He appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He is Canada's greatest combat sports athlete.
