Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa was born on 21 July 2006 in Taguatinga, in Brazil's Federal District, and faced a difficult childhood: when he was 11, his father left the family to pursue a footballing career of his own in small clubs around Brasília, and his mother, left unemployed and homeless, was forced to place Endrick and his siblings in an orphanage in São Paulo until his father returned six months later. Endrick joined Palmeiras' academy and made his senior debut in 2022 at just 16, quickly becoming one of the most hyped teenage talents in world football, renowned for his composure in front of goal and physical maturity beyond his years. His performances prompted Real Madrid to agree a transfer while he was still just 16, with the move completing once he turned 18 in 2024. Endrick made his Real Madrid debut in 2024, and while first-team opportunities were initially limited given the club's attacking depth, he continued to develop, before moving on loan to French club Lyon in 2026 to gain more regular playing time.
